Mehmed ACA: The Sultanahmet is also known as the Blue Mosque & was built during the reign of Ahmet I (1603-1617). The central dome is 23.5 meters wide & 43 meters high. Some of the interior tiles were made at the imperial Iznik kilns during Ahmet I's reign.
