G. ARGENT (Ethiopian sculptor. Act. Mid 20th c): Ras Tafari Makonnen was crowned Emperor in 1930 and was deposed in 1974. The Rastafarian cult developed around him and many believed him to be the long awaited savior of African People of the diaspora.
