Andrei Ivanovich STAKENSCHNEIDER (1802-1865): The room once served as a guest room. The painted ceiling panels (c. 1610-1649) are by Padovanino. The columns are of porphyritic stone; jasper; and gilt. The walls have lapis lazuli and marble inlays. The doors are decorated in the Boulle technique (inlay with tortoise-shell and copper). The oval medallions over the doors are portraits of field marshals.
