GREEK HELLENISTIC Anonymous (323 BCE - 30 BCE ): The Avenue of King Battos (the founder of Cyrene) is the main pedestrian street between the Ptolemaion and the Acropolis. The portico was in front of a running track. Herakles represented strength, while Hermes represented speed.
