GREEK CLASSIC Anonymous (480 BCE-323 BCE): Such funerary statuettes were made in Cyrene from the 5th c BCE through Roman times and were originally located in the Necropolis of Cyrene. They possibly represent Persephone, the goddess of the Underworld.
