ROMAN IMPERIAL Anonymous (14 BCE - 284 CE): The two pairs of theatrical masks are separated by an inscription in Greek; Euripides; referring to the Athenian playwright. One pair of masks has the faces of satyrs and the other pair has human faces. The ancient cameo was mounted in the 19th century.
