SUMERIAN Anonymous (3500 BCE - 2000 BCE): From the Great Death Pit in the Royal Cemetery at Ur. The object was named by the excavator after a Biblical story. It is actually a pose typical of goats when they reach for food. It originally had a wooden core supporting the gold leaf.
