ETHIOPIAN LATER SOLOMONIC Anonymous: This scene illustrates the promise that Christ will pardon all who ask in the name of the Virgin. The Miracles of the Virgin had been introduced by Emperor Dawit (1382-1431) and became part of the liturgy in 1441.
