SASANIAN Anonymous (224 - 651): Made in western Asia; possibly Iran. The senmurv motif was used in Sasanian Iran and spread widely throughout central and western Asia as well as the Byzantine world. This fragment was found in a reliquary in the church of St. Leu in Paris.
