ALEVIZ NOVY (act. 1499-1531): Burial place for the Russian imperial family until the end of the 17th century when the capital was moved to St. Petersburg. The central dome is gilded; the smaller ones are silver-plated. Also pictured (left to right): Grand Kremlin Palace (1838-49); Vtoraya Bezymyannaya Tower (c. 1450; addition 1680); Cathedral of the Annunciation (1484-89).
