A documentary film by Saul Rouda and David Dobkin, made in collaboration with SF Newsreel, about the 1968-9 student and faculty strike at San Francisco State College. Features scenes of students demonstrating, clashing with riot police on campus and being arrested. Also includes views of riot police beating students and threatening them with drawn revolvers, and of the following giving speeches/press conferences: Ron Dellums; Danny Glover; Dr Carlton Goodlett, S.I. Hayakawa; Roger Alvarado; Mayor Joseph Alioto and Jerry Varnado. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
This 16mm film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in November 2022. Film shrinkage was measured in November 2022 at 0.30%.
