Magnet, a health center that opened in 2003 and located at 4122 18th Street; It replaced the Castro Village Pharmacy. It is the latest example of a growing movement in the gay community to focus on a wide array of health issues, not just HIV/AIDS. Issues include addiction, depression, heart conditions, prostate cancer and other common ailments. The aim is to reduce risky behaviors in gay, bisexual, and transgender men.
