KPIX Eyewitness news report from April 13th 1973 featuring views of firefighters and emergency service workers dealing with the aftermath of a mid-air plane crash over the Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course. Also includes an interview with an eyewitness, who was on the golf course. Full details about this crash can be reviewed on the Aviation Safety Network's website. Please note the lone survivor of this crash was Bruce Mallibert, a naval radar operator. The young man being interviewed in 1973, who describes covering what he thought was a corpse with a parachute, was actually shrouding Mallibert's unconscious body. Mallibert was interviewed by KPIX-TV in 2013 and described these events from 40 years ago.
