Scanned PDF copy of a letter written from Pete Ashen to the people of Chenega in June 2014, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Good Friday earthquake commemoration held on Chenega Island (June 6th, 2014). Ashen was a Red Cross worker featured in the 1964 KPIX-TV documentary film 'Chenega is Gone', which follows the aftermath of how the island community of Chenega in Prince William Sound, Alaska was destroyed by a tsunami on March 27th 1964. The letter also includes background details on how the KPIX documentary came to be made and Ashen's career. Note that 'Chenega is Gone' can be viewed in DIVA.
