Missionary Temple Christian Epsicopal Church at 1455 Golden Gate Avenue - 1983 (Updated over a year ago)

You can view this bundle in the Max Kirkeberg Collection collection area.

Built in 1907 for the First United Presbyterian Church. In 1951, they moved to a site at Sloat Boulevard and 35th Avenue. This is an example of a fairly common occurence of white congregations moving west once the neighborhood became predominately African American.
