The tall apartment building on the right is on the northeast corner of Hayes and Steiner Street. The park on the left is Alamo Square Park. The park on the horizon, a sister park of Alamo Square, is Alta Plaza. The lone high rise is on the northeast corner of Steiner and Jackson Street. The church in the valley is St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church. It is located in Hayes Valley and has a history of being susceptible to earthquakes. The church identified another seismic problem and so St. Dominics was reinforced. See related slides for more details.
