The top of the map is Pierce Street, on the right is Fulton Street, the bottom is Scott Street, and the left side is McAllister Street. Almost all of the buildings form 1899 are still there. The two buildings that are no longer there are indicated in yellow. Fulton Street is the northern boundary of Alamo Square and sits on the other side of the street.
