Upper right corner is north; lower left is south; lower right corner is east; upper left corner is west. At center is Bernal Heights peak (used for telecommunications equipment). At the ridge to the east, ridge to the northeast is Peralta Heights. The valley on the north side is Precita Valley. The secondary hill left of the main hill is Holly Park. Above that is the gap which Mission Street follows. At the bottom of the hill is Islais Creek valley. There are a few smaller valleys southeast of Holly Park; Cortland Avenue climbs the valley to the left. Cortland Avenue is the easiest east-to-west route through Bernal Heights; its route follows the contour of the valley. This plaster relief was purchased from a street artist in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
