Press Conference on the Homosexual Community with Phyllis Lyon (1966)
KRON-TV news footage from August 19th 1966 featuring scenes from a press conference in which co-founder of the Daughters of Bilitis (DOB) Phyllis Lyon comments on the "unequal treatment under the laws" of the homosexual community, including police surveillance of gay bars, police harassment and job security. Also includes a clergyman discussing the "problem of the homosexual community." It should be noted that the original KRON-TV shot-log record for this footage was titled "Lesbians."
