Whole Earth Restaurant (1971)

KRON News footage from November 17th 1971 featuring a visit to the Whole Earth Restaurant at UC Santa Cruz, a non-profit corporation running a successful organic restaurant on the site of two previously failed restaurants. It has recently gone through an expansion and remodel. Includes views of people being served food, eating and an interview with a man who explains their shared philosophy with Stewart Brand of the Whole Earth Catalogue. Ends with Newswatch reporter Bill Balleza reflecting on the merits of his organic lunch and scenes of people working in the restaurant's garden.
