The Fillmore Revisited (1975)

Edited and incomplete film elements from a KRON-TV Assignment Four program called The Fillmore Revisited, shot on May 6th 1975. Ira Eisenberg is making a "companion piece" to a show he produced in 1968 called A Family on Fell Street, about the African American Diggs family living in San Francisco's Fillmore district. He wants to examine what 7 years of change have meant to the eldest son Larry Diggs, the Fillmore and African Americans living in San Francisco. Diggs was a youth counsellor in 1968, living with his family in the Fillmore; he is now a radio broadcaster living in the Richmond district with girlfriend Gail Katagiri and his immediate family have all moved back to Texas. Includes scenes of Diggs speaking with Eisenberg about how his attitudes have evolved, walking through a transformed Fillmore with his old friend Roy Andre Dupris and visiting his grandmother Mrs. Helen Snell. Also features views of Diggs riding his bicycle around the city and working as a DJ in the KSFX radio studio. We have been unable to find any more film elements from this production or the complete film print as yet. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
