KPIX Eyewitness News footage from July 5th 1967 at City Hall in San Francisco with reporter Rollin Post, featuring scenes from a meeting between Mayor John Shelley and a delegation of men from the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood. They are demanding that 20 team leaders that had been cut from the Federal poverty budget be immediately reinstated and Shelley insists he won't committ himself to promises that can't be kept. Includes angry statements from the delgation including George Mason Murray, reminding Shelley that he won the last election in part with the support of San Francisco's African American community.
