Steve Dickison introduces Ed Pavlic who opens with commentary on David Lau's reading, then provides opening remarks on his book Let's Let That Are Not Yet: INFERNO via the influence of Adrienne Rich's essay "When We Dead Awaken," and a visit to the Palestinian West Bank. He reads the first page from "Verbatim Palestine: June 3, 2014," followed by the entire long poem "Verbatim Breaking News: March 25, 2011."

Ed Pavlic and David Lau respond to questions on the composing process, rhythm, pacing, sound, reading aloud, and the creation of imagined spaces. They discuss the social context, geographic location, and political aspects of their poetry in light of the new intra-generational swell of political poetry on the left. Pavlic remarks, in response to a question, that the present U.S. Presidential election is "empty of an actual politics that I would consider seriously." They conclude by asking each other about the direction of their current writing.
