The streets running from lower right to upper left are Market, 17th, 18th, and 19th. The horizontal streets from the lower left are Noe, Hartford, Castro, Collingwood and Diamond. This is a great view of the heart of the commercial district of the Castro, from Market Street to 19th Street. The most distinctive building on these two blocks is the Castro Theater. One block west on 18th Street is the white-roofed Cala Market (at the time) just up the block from Collingwood Park. At the top is the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
