The 1906 fire border was at Dolores Street and 20th Street to the left. This block of 20th Street, however, only has a couple of Victorians. A possible explanation for so few: It may be that a view of a cemetery (pre-Dolores Park) was not desirable, so only small Victorians were built. Later, when Dolores Park was installed, newer, bigger buildings in later styles were built.
