She talks about: her early family life; the firebombing of their home in East Elmhurst, Queens and the assassination of Malcolm X at Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom in February 1965; her mother's love for Malcolm X and the portrayel of her father and other family members in Spike Lee's biographical movie 'Malcolm X'.
