You can view this bundle in the Max Kirkeberg Collection collection area.
In 1994, the following organizations were housed here: La Raza Community Resources, California Reinvest Coalition, Campanera del Barrio La Raza, Legal Mission Council, Mission Learning Center, and Mission Housing Development Corp. Nova Pocom Poder Centro del Pueblo (474 Valencia Street) used to be the International Union of Operating Engineers, but has since moved to the East Bay. Five non-profits bought the building and its parking lots; the parking lots were sold to the Mission Housing Development Corp. The five groups owning the building are: Mission Housing Development Corp., La Raza Centro, Legal Mission Reading Clinic, and Companeros del Barrio La Raza information center. In related slides, the seal of the union is visible in the sidewalk in front and on the facade of the building.
