This is a 24 unit apartment building with commercial tenants on the ground floor; the corner business has always been La Rondalla restaurant. The interior of La Rondalla is decorated with Christmas tree lights and provides entertainment by Mariachi singers. In the late 1960s and 1970s it was a very popular restaurant. In recent years the restaurant got into trouble with the city with multiple code violations, and as of 2012 it was closed, but according to neighbors it will reopen with the owner's daughter now in charge.
