Photographic spread of the Tennis program at San Francisco State Teachers College that was growing rapidly. William Aubell began managing the team in August of 1932, which was coached by Harry Cowell. "Harry" Cowell was married to International Relations professor Olive Thompson Cowell, and he served as a tennis coach for the Physical Education Department between 1933 and 1939 and his son was an internationally known composer Henry Cowell (1897-1965). Leading team members included: Bob Thatcher, Donald Jones, William Rutter, John Arlington, Frank Ogan, Joe Rosen, Jack Petty, Mario Aguirre, and Fred Gugat.
