Telephoto north from Bernal Heights - 19900 (Updated over a year ago)
You can view this bundle in the Max Kirkeberg Collection collection area.
The two main streets are Shotwell Street at the left and Folsom Street at the right. The trees on Folsom Street extend until 20th Street and also mark the division between the residential area of the Mission District to the south and the industrial area of the Mission District to the north. City Hall can be seen at the extreme left and above it is Angel Island. The first two high-rises on the left are the Bank of America Credit Card building in white and the Fox Plaza, in brown. The Federal Building on the right is covered in windows and to its right are the southern slopes of Russian and Nob Hill, with their occasional residential towers. The slender brick tower on the right side of Shotwell Street is the San Francisco Fire Department's training tower at Shotwell Street and 19th Street. At the end of Folsom Street is the multi-gabled building that was U.S. Steel and is now the MUNI Car Barn. Beyond it is a four to five story brick building that was one of the first industrial buildings converted for offices, and beyond it running across the slide is the Central Freeway. At the right-middle is the "San Francisco Picasso" on the Lily Anne Building at 17th Street and Harrison Street.
