KPIX-TV news fotoage from 1976 featuring scenes from an interview with Harvey Milk outside a Safeway store in San Francisco. Milk discusses his opponent in this California State Assembly race (Art Agnos), what he means by taking on "the machine", economic strategies to tackle unemployment and being an openly gay candidate. Also includes views of Milk handing out flyers to shoopers as they leave Safeway. Note that Milk eventually lost to Agnos in this election race by a narrow magin.
