Item representing the lips of Nespaperennub

About This Item

Several objects such as amulets and ushabtis were found within the linen wrappings of Nespaperennub, a priest who worked at the religious complex of Karnak in Thebes (modern-day Luxor)—including this unusual item in the shape of a pair of lips. We do not know the original purpose of this object. It may have been part of an impression created for a funerary mask.
