Shooting at intersection of Hyde and Sacramento
About This Item
KPIX-TV news footage from October 3 1972 with reporter Christopher Chow featuring views of a blue Buick Skylark in which Peter Ling and Gordon Wong were shot at the intersection of Hyde and Sacramento in San Francisco at 12:30am yesterday. Chow states that Joe Fong and later David Wong were arrested by police in connection with this shooting. Ends with brief views of Fosters cafeteria. Note that although Fong was eventually convicted of this crime, an article published in the San Francisco Chronicle in April 1973 cast doubts on his guilt. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
Note: this 16mm film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in February 2021.
