KPIX-TV news footage from 1960 featuring scenes of Ch.5 reporter Wanda Ramey interviewing members of the Sausalito houseboat community north of Golden Gate Bridge on Richardson Bay, including a sculptor (David) and an expectant mother (Jane) who both enjoy the lifestyle choices they've made. Ramey asks another man: "What's your opinion of this squabble over the houseboats?" and he replies: "Well this is an old story. It's been going on for over 10 years that I know of." Includes silent views of people relaxing on the waterfront and of vessels moored there. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
