ZZ Packer and Angela Pneuman: April 10, 2014

The Poetry Center presents ZZ Packer and Angela Pneuman for a Prose at The Poetry Center event. Packer, at the time on the San Francisco State University faculty in Creative Writing, reads a recent unfinished short story from manuscript, "Pita Delicious," before reading a couple passages from her unpublished novel The Thousands. Pneuman, a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford, reads an excerpt from her newly published novel Lay It On My Heart (Harper & Row, 2014). The reading concludes with Packer and Pneuman taking questions from the audience, talking about their writing processes, their influences, how they choose what to read as writers, and more. Steve Dickison provides the introductions.
