Two students walk toward the entrance of John S. Hensill Hall, formerly the Biological Sciences Building, along the covered colonnade facing 19th Avenue. The building’s concrete façade and recessed walkway reflect the mid-century modern design of San Francisco State University’s science complex. Hensill Hall is connected to Thornton Hall (formerly the Physical Science Building) and forms part of the University’s expanded science facilities.
