Workers set up rows of chairs and equipment on the field of Cox Stadium in preparation for the June 1973 commencement ceremony at San Francisco State University. A stage is being arranged near the track, while seating extends across the grass and up into the bleachers. The scene captures the scale and organization behind one of the university’s major annual events.
