Two San Francisco State College cheerleaders perform on the field during a 1967 home football game at Cox Stadium. One wears a light sweater with the college’s “SF” emblem while the other, in a dark uniform, lifts her pom-poms mid-routine. Sparse spectators watch from the bleachers behind them, framed by hillside trees and the concrete seating of the stadium. The photograph captures the energy and school spirit that accompanied Gator football throughout the 1967 season.
