A San Francisco State College player in a dark jersey secures the football while being brought down by an opposing defender in a white uniform during a 1967 game at Cox Stadium. The Gator lands beneath the tackler as teammate number 5 approaches and another opponent, number 22, observes nearby. The hillside bleachers and eucalyptus trees provide a familiar backdrop to this close-contact moment of play on the Gators’ home field.
