Countries (Updated over a year ago)

Countries Data (countries.sav) This file includes data for all entities listed as independent countries in the 2007 ratings by Freedom House (http://www.freedomhouse.org/). Missing Data: sysmis (all variables) Sources: Except as noted, Central Intelligence Agency, The World Factbook. June 19, 2007 (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/index.html). Accessed July 5, 2007. Notes: 1. For some variables, The World Factbook provides a single figure for Cyprus, for others it provides separate figures for Greek and Turkish Cyprus. Where possible, the latter figures were added to provide a single figure for the country as a whole, otherwise, they are treated as missing data. 2. Some values listed for Serbia include Kosovo and/or Montenegro. 3. Some variables, such as literacy, are defined differently by different countries and data for a given variable may be from different years.
