EGYPTIAN XVIII DYNASTY Anonymous (c.1570 BCE-1293 BCE): Sebekhotep was a treasury official under Thutmose IV (1400-1390 BCE) and received foreign gifts brought to the king. This fragment was part of a scene showing Sebekhotep receiving the produce of the Near East and Africa: 3 Nubians pay homage and 3 more men carry plates of gold and gold chains. Gold was one of the most important products of Nubia.
