John HASSALL (1868-1948): The statement on the poster -- Returned from Klondyke -- is a reference to the aftermath of the Klondike Gold Rush. Gold was discovered in the Klondike River Valley in the Yukon territory of Canada in 1896. Many gold seekers returned home disappointed a few years later. Hallsall was the artist and David Allen & Sons was the printer.
