MEXICAN-AMERICAN Anonymous: Built by the Spanish as mission in early 1700's. In 1835 was site of Texas revolution battle with just hundreds of Texans fighting against thousands of troops led by Mexican Dictator Santa Anna. All Texans died but did great damage to Santa Anna's troops. Santa Ana was captured days later.
