People outside the old Library
About This Item
Students and faculty gather and pass by the original campus library building, a central hub of academic life since its opening in 1954. Renamed the J. Paul Leonard Library in 1976, the building honors SF State’s fourth president, whose leadership oversaw the university’s expansion to the 19th and Holloway campus.
