Student Learning Center
About This Item
The Student Learning Center located on the fourth floor of the University Library offered tutorial assistance and help for students to improve general study skills and study time management, test taking, textbook reading, library research, spelling and vocabulary improvement. Students seeking assistance could earn 1-3 units of credit. A contract, specifying skills to be learned and the amount of time spent in the Center, was drawn up by each participant and signed by a learning assistant. Credit was given when the contract was completed. Students could use the Center’s services without working on a contract basis. Source: 1977-1978 SFSU Bulletin, 69-70.
