Stanley Paulson: Acting SFSC President ’65 – ‘66

Stanley F. Paulson, (1956) Associate Professor of Speech; served as Acting President Fall 1965-Spring 1966. Stanley F. Paulson held the position of Acting President, San Francisco State College, from Fall, 1965 to Spring, 1966. Dr. Paulson came to San.Francisco State in 1956 as an Associate Professor of Speech. Previously, he had served on the faculty of the University of.Minnesota, as well as in the OverseasProgram of the University of Maryland, teaching in both Germany and England. In 1961-1962, under a Fulbright Educational Exchange Grant, he lectured on American Language and Literature at theUniversity of Kanazawa in Japan. He was born in Atwater, Missouri, and received a degree from the University of Minnesota. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Divinity degree and became an ordained minister in 1944. In 1966, he left San Francisco State to become Chair of the Speech Department atPennsylvania State University. Died October 11, 2004.
