E. Lyle. Damon, 1972. Professor of Physical Education. BS (1960) MS (1966) University of Nevada; Ph.D. (1971) University of Southern California. Damon was known as a traditional basketball coach teaching fundamental defensive basketball. Damon recruited students to fill roles on the team, which was a challenge because SF State was part of the Far West Conference that did not allow scholarships at the time.
