BA (1931) Chico State University; MA (1933) University of California, Berkeley; advanced studies at Stanford University. Farmer saw the campus enrollment grow from 1,000 students to 18,000 students when he retired. Farmer was basketball coach from 1932 to 1957 and Tennis coach from 1932 to 1970. He led the Tennis Squad to straight titles in the Far Western Conference from 1947-1950. Retired in 1972. [World War II work].
