Charles F. Hagar, 1959. Professor of Astronomy and Director of San Francisco State’s Planetarium and Observatorium. BA (1954) University of California, Los Angeles; MA (1960) and advances studies University of California, Berkeley. Hagar was great at teaching children about the stars. He helped to design SF States Planetarium in Thornton Hall in 1973 at a cost of $200,000. He also designed the Planetarium in Hong Kong.
