Doris D. Holtz, 1924. Professor of Physical Education. Received her General Elementary Credential (1922), BA (1929) San Francisco State University; MS (1935) University of Southern California. Holtz specialized in aquatics, swimming, and safety education. She knew all of the presidents up to Hayakawa. During the student-led Strike in 1968-1969, Holtz paid for repairs to the presidential portraits damaged in the Administration Building on December 5, 1968. Retired in 1970.
